Care Assistant - Job Description

Responsible to the Home Manager/Care Officer

Responsible for the following Key Tasks:

1.    To assist residents to wash and dress, and undertake personal hygiene duties.

2.    To assist residents at mealtimes.

3.     To work under the supervision and instruction of senior members of staff, attend staff meetings and    participate in training.

4.     Enhance and develop the individual lifestyles of the residents, working to the highest possible standards at all times.

5.     Participate in communal activities both within and out-with the home as required.

6.     Maintain records as appropriate.

7.     Assist in domestic duties as required.

8.     Treat all residents with dignity and respect, continuing the ethos of St Mary’s and work in a professional manner at all times.

9.     To follow St Mary’s Policies and Procedures at all times

10.   To implement SSSC standards at all times.
